I realized that I liked Coldplay...too.(demmet)

This week is finals week (for non-graduating students) and I sort of made a booboo with my boo and I'm left to fend for myself for the rest of the week. Now, I tend to do boring, unnecessary things(like lie around, watch endless vids or just do nothing at all) while no one's keeping watch, so what I usually do is hang out with my equally sophisticated and talented friend, Snirp, at his house to chill, think about what I've done and do boring, unnecessary things with him. (So I can blame him.yeah!)

During a break on one of our bouts of MVC3 Madness(Get Hype!), Snirp popped in Coldplay for ambient music. Now, I've known Snirp for awhile now and when it comes to Coldplay, thou shall not interfere or comment negatively or suffer a minor concussion with his rebuttal, whether it be a knowledge bomb or a facepalm. (It varies from time to time.)

So a couple of minutes in, Coldplay's "The Scientist" buzzed in and as I listened to the lyrics (I could listen because Snirp was in a 80-something juggle so that only spells death for my character) and it hit me, Coldplay is actually good. Although they weren't bad to begin with but Coldplay was considered 'passable' for me in terms of listenability(bite me) and lyrical quality and they weren't cheesy and made good melodies but till now, I've never realized that they are THIS good. Maybe it's just coincidental that what I'm going through right now is what the Scientist is all about but I gotta admit, the lyrics are pretty spot on.

Now, I find it hard that Coldplay may come first in my Weirdlist of Band selection consisting of DCFC, Passion Pit etc. but I can finally place them in my top 20...or my forever song selection, I don't really have a Top 20 in the first place but honestly, Coldplay for me has passed from 'good-ish' to 'good'. This may seem trash news for now but at least I know, I just got +900 friend points from Snirp. More power, brother. Now, I'm kickin Cap's ass with Zero...

Peace Out.
