I've been to airports for work and for leisure a number of times now these past couple of years and it just occurred to me that it's the by far a sneakerheads best place to flex their kicks (and the spot to stalk and spy on other sneakerheads and kicks as well).
I know I was off by like...six years on this. (Sue me haha) but thinking about it now it is indeed super ideal as you're always guaranteed clean, shiny areas so you won't get creases or grime on them (for the conscious sneakerhead) and if you're on the Gram, there are plenty of ideal spots you can take that sweet pic in but by far, the greatest thing I've ever done was snoop on other shoewhores and see what they were rocking. As I post this, the most trending and most often shoe I can find were the AJ1 lows of varying colors but occasionally, you'll get to see ones that stand out (J4 breds, Kobe Protros) and ones that rock AJ1 Shattered Backboards (I gave this guy a thumbs up. I think he nodded but I'm sure he got creeped out because he immediately transferred a seat when we met eyes. If by any chance he's reading this, sorry man! I don't hate, I appreciate.)
I don't know about you but I just found my new favorite pastime whenever I'm at airports. Can't wait for the next time I travel with my fiance to do this. Peace.
