So, on my way home I passed by this cozy-looking place near Junction Road. It looked like a mini log cabin from afar but upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a pizza place.

Being a pizza lover, I immediately checked the place out. It's called Alfonso Pizzeria and according to the employees, a "tagalog" owns the place and it isn't a franchise. It's his own business that he started up. The pizza's have fancy names like Blue Cheese and the prices are a bit higher than other pizza parlors (Somewhere in between Alberto's and Greenwich. Go figure.) What sets them apart is that they cook their pizza in a brick oven with firewood. Now, I did read somewhere that brick oven pizzas taste a lot better than your regular oven pizzas but when I ate their pizza, there is a distinct flavor to it but it didn't matter much. One thing that bothers me though is that they don't have softdrinks in bottles (Only cans) and their pizza's are strictly all 12 inches. I don't know if they will adjust but personally, I think they should so that they could compete with the uh, competition.
Gotta admit though, they have a good location. It's a shame that this place would just close down because they wouldn't adapt.
