In order to document this peculiar thought, I used my birthday as the statistic gathering method and I'd tally the people who called me by a certain nickname. I tallied this from all sorts of communication, whether it be personal, through text messaging, social networking and etc. I also only recorded those that I could remember so if you "feel" you weren't included then I apologize in advance.
This chart represents the nicknames that were used and how many people called me by this nickname:

P.S. Did not include the Dudz nickname because it's not really my own, personal, nickname.hehe
Looking at the chart, it's no surprise that the Chady is leading at the top as it is the nickname I've been using for awhile now. What's surprising though is a there is a good amount of "Chardy's" here as well. Why is this so intriguing? Well, you see, Chardy was a nickname during my high school days and I was feeling a bit nostalgic to hear (or read, mind you) this name again. Nicknames are names that could be short or long. It can be used usually familiar or humorous but sometimes pointed or cruel name given to a certain person, as a supposedly appropriate replacement for or addition to the proper name. They hold a special meaning to each and everyone of us especially for me because I had a different nickname every time I transition from certain moments in my life to another.
Every time I hear a "Chady!", "Chardy!" or a "Tmac!', it makes me remember what I've been through my life. Then of course, there are the personal nicknames that only one (or a few) people call me. This people have made a certain bond with me (Whether good, bad, good/bad, etc.) that they become hard to forget in my life. Nicknames such as "Chadoy", "Bes" and "iChad" are from people who I consider my friends for life. By the way, Friend using "Pig" Nickname, I still have a love/hate relationship with you. You know who you are.
"Tmac" was the nickname I had (and still have) when I was basketball crazy and it stuck because I had an obsession with NBA player Tracy "Tmac" Mcgrady. "Chad" became my official work name during 2010 as it was a formal version of "Chady." Then there are group assigned uniform nicknames. This nicknames are all identical because you share the same nickname with everyone. It may not be your own nickname but it means that you belong to a group of people who will consider you a friend forever.
Nicknames hold a lot of meaning and you should treasure them if you have them. By the way, Thank you for greeting me on my birthday guys! A total of 150-ish people greeted me on my bday. hehe. Thanks again!
P.S. Special mention to Person using nickname "Mychad". You know who you are and I yap you for being there for me. :)
Peace out.
-Chady
