Life with Imaginary 1-ups #10

*While I was working at Cebu, I blow off steam from a hard day's work by playing at an arcade. Problem was, this said arcade was located 20 minutes away from my workplace and 30 minutes away from my home. That's almost an hour of sleep. I usually end up going to work a little drowsy by the next day.

*I almost fought with a complete stranger in a mall one day. My reason? Ioverhead him saying that Katamari Damacy was a terrible game. Jackass.

*Colon, Cebu City's DVD sellers are time travellers. Go to any stall and they'll have Wrong Turn 8, Pokemon 2999 and Spider-Man 7. Beat that.

Had my haircut today and I thought, "hey, why not change my blog's look as well?" Had some extra time so here it is. Hope you guys approve of the arrangement and the color scheme.

Peace Out.

Life with Imaginary 1-ups #9

*When I was in first year high school, my friends and I used to have pseudo Beyblade-Tack battles at lunch break. What exactly does that mean? Let me explain. Being broke idiots that we were, all we could afford were thumbtacks and crayons. So what we did was color the thumbtacks to make them "unique" and we used coconut husks (lampaso) as our arenas. How's that for creativity (and cheapness).

*Last time I checked my original FFVII save file, I logged in at almost 198 hours. It took me that long(I was 13...I think.) because I had to level up all my characters above 90 and collect all the game's materia, items and weapons. That's almost 8 days. So if you have a week and day off, THIS is a week and a day well spent.

*When I was a kid, I broke my leg due to a freak biking accident. I was required to cast my leg and take a break to let it heal. Everyone was telling me that everything's gonna be alright. All I could ever think about was that I can now finish Final Fantasy 9 for sure. Sweet.

Disturbing Movies That Raise your Eyebrows Part 1

I've been mingling around the interwebs for awhile now and these are some of my findings. Most of this movies are really weird and I don't recommend watching them with your girlfriend or your family. These movies really push the boundaries of how much gore, blood, violence and everything else we can put into movies. Some can be artistic (in a way), some just are downright grotesque. You may not have the time, resources or interest to watch these movies but when you do, just check this list up.

Little Experiment on Online Garage Sales

I'm a little intrigued with this new trend of selling almost anything online. Not only on Ebay or local Sulit but also on good old Facebook so what i'm gonna try right now is I'm gonna try selling crap online on some local friends and see how this thing works. I will keep you posted on the stuff that I will sell (I assure it will be crap.hehe.) and the results.

Peace Out.

Revisiting:Pokemon

I was one of the several people caught by the Pokemon wave. Like many, my obsession started with the "Vanilla" Pokegames for the Game Boy, Pokemon Red and Blue
(Fun Fact: There was also a Pokemon Green in Japan.
Pokemon Green was hard and had extended dungeons. Pokemon Red was
released as a whole different game about three months later.)
My first impression on Pokemon was that it was a decent RPG game with all the right ingredients for addictive gameplay like item collecting, backtracking, leveling up and a unique concept of using

monsters to fight your battles for you. What really caught my attention with Pokemon where the Pokemon themselves. The first 150 Pokemon were unique and quirky in their own little (or large) ways. From Bulbasaur to Mewtwo, every single one of them was so interesting that you really had to "Catch em all" (Hence the very effective catchprase.) Flash forward a year later, the Pokemon cartoon was released. The adventures of Ash Ketchum and his friends was the number one factor that changed my in
terest to an obsession.

From the games, I quickly branched out
to shirts, toys, books and also the trading card game made for Pokemon. I got so obsessed that I also wanted my bags, notebooks, pencils, socks( Hey, I was a kid back then, give me a break...) to be Pokemon.Everything just had to be Pokemon.

The Pokemon franchise has a creative and diverse environment. It's world is huge and it's very easy to get sucked into.
Unfortunately, evil business executives started to spam Pokemon too much and
they've made way too many games, way too may t.v. shows, way too many merchandise (Pokeunderwear, anyone?) and after the 2nd season of the Pokemon series, I just lost interest. Even though I'm not into Pokemon that much nowadays, I'm impressed that even up till now, Pokemon is still going strong with its seven-thousand version of the Pokemon cartoon, New released games of Pokemon such as Pokemon Black,White,Monochrome(?) and Rainbow(?!) and the market is still flooded with pokemon merchandise. In the end, I was glad that I got caught (and got out) of the Pokemon wave but I never regret that I got in it in the first place (I still enjoy watching the series from time to time).I will refuse to say that Pokemon was a fad because it's still here and going strong, lets just say that Pokemon say is "old new". Long Live Pikachu!
Pika Pika (Peace Out).

Life with Imaginary 1-ups #7

*Because the Playstation Network has been down these last couple weeks,I managed to do other stuff like play basketball, do some chores and write crap. Including this one.

*A few years ago, I installed Left for Dead on my netbook even though it's video card was weak and basically nonexistent. I couldn't wait for our home computer to get fixed so I played the game even though it was horribly slow and hangs up often. I only stopped when I reached the first encounter with a Witch. Being a n00b, I tried to poke her with my gun and surely enough she attacked. For some strange reason, the game hung up exactly on her bloodcurdling scream, causing it to loop. and HER FACE was stuck on the screen! I don't know if that was purely coincidental or the netbook's way of saying that enough is enough, It was more than enough to make me uninstall the game and stop playing for awhile.

*I admit I have watched Glee on occasion but not because of the songs or the good storytelling but because I have a crush on Heather Morris (she plays Britney in the series). She also has her boobs up in the net. Google them. It's not that hard to find.

Give Me Topics!

Besides Revisiting and Life with Imaginary 1-ups, I also have two articles coming up next month but right now the problem is that I'm running out of stuff to write about! It would be greatly appreciated if you guys could send me ideas or things to write about, whatever they may be.

Thanks in advance and Peace Out.

Life with Imaginary 1-ups #6

*The PS3 currently has some of the most best games in terms of graphics and gameplay like the 3D Killzone and Call of Duty:Black Ops. And right now, I'm playing...a remake of Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time. Big Apple, 3AM!

*One day, I'm hauling my ass over to Japan just to experience their arcade scene or simply put, go to an ACTUAL arcade.

*I thought that Guitar Hero would help me in improving my guitar skills. It did not. Glad I only borrowed a friends' guitar controller. It would have been made a funny story to my grandkids if I actually bought one.
